Yianni D An incredible, worship album from the former Iona singer. This is absolutely beautiful music sung and performed with heart and soul: Jo sings with passion, plays the keyboards with passion, and the supporting musicians from violinist Natasha Petrovic and all the others create a soundscape that will sweep you into the presence of the Spirit of God. "Narrow Door," is one of the most hauntingly, magnificent compositions Jo has ever written. Favorite track: Narrow Door.

MaxDuNord I thought that ‘Pilgrim’ will be very good, but ... it is more beautiful and greater than I’ve expected!
‘Pilgrim’ starts very strongly with an enhanced version of ‘Find My Way Back’; it probably will always be my favourite Jo’s song. ‘Find My Way Back’ with the low whistle sounds so great, bringing even more emotions to that masterpiece.
I’ll be listening to this music and lyrics a lot, and I do hope I’ll be able to understand the real meaning of them. Favorite track: Find My Way Back.

March 2020 was the start of a global pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.

My social bubble of immediate family quickly expanded in those early weeks to include several additional young people, and in the months that followed, there were many big questions asked, and long conversations and debates.

I realised very quickly that I was not prepared or equipped to navigate these discussions, and that I was struggling to articulate a biblical worldview and what I truly believed.

This collection of songs chronicles some aspects of that journey, and that process continues.

There are 8 verses in scripture that use the Greek word “apologia”. The most familiar is 1 Peter 3: 15.

“Always be prepared to make a defence to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect” .

I hope the songs will encourage, and maybe challenge you, wherever you are in your journey.

The pilgrim path is typically a difficult one, but it’s worth it.

It is only THE TRUTH found in THE WORD that really sets us free... that is the best news ever!
